Electrical

The Electrical Program is aimed at educating students in the foundations of Electrical theory, National Electrical and State Codes. Students will be trained in the fundamentals of shop safety and will learn a variety of commercial, industrial and residential wiring methods. Students will gain the knowledge and skills that will lead them to careers in the electrical industry.

2VE21A Basic Electrical Theory-201 The Electrical Technology program for 10th grade students is aimed at educating students in the foundations of Electrical theory and residential wiring systems. 2C 1 MacLeod, Russell 1
2VE31A Intro to Wiring-202 Students will learn the theory behind electricity as well as the electrical formulas such as Ohms law, which can be used in the field after they graduate. 2A, 2B, 2 C, 2G, 2H, 2I, 2 J, 2K 6 MacLeod, Russell 2

Students will be trained in the fundamentals of shop safety, hand and power tool safety and usage, installation of conductors used in wiring systems, including insulation and current carrying capacity.
