Business Marketing

The Business Marketing Program is designed to build professional skills in Business and Management. Business Marketing prepares students by developing solid technical skills in computer applications and programming as well as a foundation for business management through the use of database management and account.

It offers high quality, career-oriented education to prepare you for the job you want. We encourage individual growth, professional growth, ethics, and cooperation. This unique learning culture bridges the gap between theory and practice, preparing you to apply your new knowledge and skills in the workplace by participating in either a co-op or externship experience.

Each class is designed with input from companies and a blend of information technology into the business and management curriculum.

3ARA1A Principles of Marketing - 302 Principles of Marketing-302 is a combined theory and performance assessment based course that introduces the study of entrepreneurship. Students will examine their potential as an entrepreneur and cover introductory topics such as characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, forms of business ownership, product development, and competitive advantage. Students will apply previously learned skills and knowledge to topics including product promotion, market research, estimating sales, gross/net profit financial statements, break-even analysis, and financial ratios. They will begin work on a business plan for a student business of their choosing. 3ARC1A Principles of Marketing - 301 Principles of Marketing-301 is a combined theory and performance assessment based course that will cover topics such as management structures, various stages of the selling process, client relationship management, and internet marketing. Students apply previously learned skills and knowledge to topics including promotional concepts and strategies, visual merchandising, print advertisement, public relations, purchasing, and inventory control. 4ARC1B Advanced Business Concepts - 401 Advanced Business Concepts-401 is a combined theory and performance assessment based course that will address topics including market research, product branding and integration, product life cycles, purchasing and inventory, price planning, and pricing strategies. Students will also learn some intermediate accounting principles related to business finance and be working toward completion of Senior Project.
