performance assessment based course that introduces the study of
entrepreneurship. Students will examine their potential as an entrepreneur
and cover introductory topics such as characteristics of successful
entrepreneurs, forms of business ownership, product development, and
competitive advantage. Students will apply previously learned skills and
knowledge to topics including product promotion, market research, estimating
sales, gross/net profit financial statements, break-even analysis, and
financial ratios. They will begin work on a business plan for a student
