 The Culinary Arts program is designed to give the student a strong foundation in culinary practices using an industrial setting. The student will be introduced to all aspects of the culinary trade while working in the student run restaurant. Culinary students are trained in Mathematics, English and Science while learning the basic skills needed to be successful in the food service industry. The students will be encouraged to focus on the understanding and practical hands on training provided. During thier study at Southeastern, students receive extensive training in baking, cooking, industrialized food service, and dining room functions.Upon successfully completing this program the student will have the ability to pursue further postsecondary education and/or training by taking advantage of articulation agreements with post secondary culinary schools. The knowledge and skills obtained will give the student the advantage in the food service field. Students will have the opportunity to go to work while participating in our co-op program second semester.

Students have the opportunity to earn a Serv-Safe certificate, an OSHA general industry certification and First Aid and CPR certification.
