The philosophy of the Early Education and Care Program is to provide our students with the knowledge and skills to become confident, responsible and caring adults as educational professionals and members of the world community. The Early Education and Care Program provides students with a firm foundation in the study of Child Growth and Development providing students with the tools to identify developmentally appropriate behaviors and milestones from birth to age seven through study, observations, hands-on experiences and implementation of assessment tools. Students will be able to identify, plan and present developmental activities in an Early Education classroom in accordance with the Department of Early education and Care and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAYEC).
Students have the opportunity to earn an OSHA general industry certification and First Aid and CPR certification.
