Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great vacation. Good News! Our newsletter, menu and calendar will be sent via email. Please let me know if you have received it.
The weather is very unpredictable this time of year. Please make sure your child has sufficient outdoor wear as we try to get out every day. Also, this would be a great time to check your Child’s extra clothes and replace the things that have been used.
We have lots of fun things happening this month! We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday & St. Patrick's day, learning about the weather and predictions, discovering transportation and learning last names, address and phone numbers. We will also start a new literacy fun activity that will tie school and home together.
Starting 3/4, a child will take home a tote with a stuffed animal relating to the theme of the week, a notebook for sharing the adventures of the night and a book to read with your child. The next school day your child will bring back the tote and discuss what happened while visiting your home. It is a great opportunity to read with your child as well as have your child become more comfortable sharing the events of the visit with their friends. As stated in our parent handbook, there will be a charge for late pickups. Please see your handbook for information relating to this policy. If you have any questions please let me know.
It is time to let us know if your child will be returning to our center In September. We will be opening enrollment to the public 4/1/11. Please fill out the enrollment sheet that will be in your child's cubbies and return it to me before 3/31.
