The Medas family of Norton recently donated a scoreboard to the Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School’s lacrosse team in honor of SE graduate Bill Medas. Since starting Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School’s lacrosse program four years ago, coach Matt Lefsky said his team manager had gotten used to juggling the four jobs necessary to keep on top of things each game.

That all changed on April 15 when the Medas family of Norton donated an electronic scoreboard to the team. The new board can keep track of time, scores, periods, and substitutions, all with the touch of a remote control.

For the Medas family it also means remembering Bill Medas, a 1972 graduate of the school who died in a motorcycle accident in 1987, according to his brother, Bob.

“If it wasn’t for the ability of Southeastern Regional to give kids a trade, my brother would have been lost,” Medas said. “He was lost going to school in Norton.”
