The Junior Varsity Baseball team won its opening game in dramatic fashion, scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 4-3 victory over Blue Hill Regional.  Starting pitcher Kyle Cummings was stellar, allowing just one earned run in four innings pitched, while left-hander Josh Piesco earned the win with three innings of excellent relief pitching.  Sophomore shortstop Jonathan Alves was the offensive star, scoring three runs, and hitting the first home run of the season for the Hawks – a mighty, towering drive over the left field wall.
