Winter Track & Field Athletes Soaring to Success
It goes without saying that hard-working students-athletes at Southeastern Regional have all represented the hawk’s insignia well during races and competitions. The track and field teams certainly stand out as a result of their recent wins and achievements.
The Southeastern track and field team has been on a winning streak against other local schools in the area. The student-athletes in winter track have been working very hard and diligently in further improving themselves physically. This is a testament to the coaching staff.
Kathryn Manigan, who is a science teacher, is also the head coach of the winter track team. In response to the latest achievements, Kathryn Manigan commented, “Our boys’ team is currently number one in the league and our girls’ team is number two, and so we have grown a lot over the years.” With that being said, athletes in winter track strive to be the best. Their constant perseverance and their hard work, greatly contributes to the overall success of Southeastern’s sports and reputation.
The Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School District consists of a four-year public high school and a post-secondary technical institute. The high school offers 20 career majors to students from Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, Sharon, Stoughton, and West Bridgewater.
