Video Production skypes with actress from “Mother’s Day” (2016) Jessi Case
Video Production sophomores and seniors were lucky to skype with Hollywood actress Jessi Case on Thursday, March 5th. Jessi took some time to talk to Southeastern Video students about the film industry, being an actress, and all about her life in LA. Jessi Case had worked with video production instructor Janelle Canastra on the hit film MOTHER’S DAY (2016) directed by legendary director Garry Marshall.
From her iMDb page, “Jessi Case was born in Atlanta, to Dianne Cohn & Ken Case. Jessi discovered her passion for acting at the young age of 5 and subsequently appeared in numerous print campaigns and commercials. After booking her first feature, The Yellow Wallpaper (2012), Jessi and her family relocated to Los Angeles to further pursue her’s and her siblings’ careers. After a nationwide search, however, Jessi soon found herself returning home to Atlanta to film her first major feature with legendary director, Garry Marshall, in “Mother’s Day” (2016). Jessi and her siblings, fellow entertainers, Tyler and Ally Case, now share their time between Atlanta and Los Angeles making their passion for the arts a family affair.”
Jessi has starred in such films as YELLOW WALLPAPER, MOTHER’S DAY, the tv series INTO THE DARK (episode “School Spirit”), and can be seen in the upcoming tv series DEFENDING JACOB.
Southeastern Video Production would like to thank Jessi Case for taking the time to talk to our students and wish her the best of luck on her current productions.
