DYNASTY and BMF star Felisha Terrell zooms with Southeastern Video and Performing Arts
The Southeastern Regional Video and Performing Arts students were excited to zoom with television actress Felisha Terrell. Felisha’s credits include recurring roles on the CW’s popular reboot of DYNASTY, the 50 Cent produced TV drama BMF, and she is currently filming a starring role on ABC’s upcoming drama series THE COMPANY YOU KEEP (premiering in February 2023).
Felisha spoke to the students about her journey to becoming a Hollywood actor, the struggles of being a biracial actress in Hollywood, and gave them advice for life. Felisha shared the values of hard work and the importance of becoming lifelong learners.
Felisha had previously worked with Southeastern Regional Video and Performing Arts teacher Janelle Canastra.
When asked about advice she would give her younger self, Felisha advised the students that “[she] spent a lot of years just taking the rejection personally instead of taking it as an opportunity to get better.” She also said for them to “have more fun. Don’t take it too seriously.”
Felisha spoke about working on ABC’s THE COMPANY YOU KEEP (starring THIS IS US’s Milo Ventimilgia) and how proud she is to finally be able to play a biracial character on television. She was honored to be able to play a character who shares her own personal journey on the screen.
