THREE, TWO, ONE–Three One-Act Student Directed Plays, Two Showcases (One Dance and One Musical), and One Awards Presentation

We are excited to present THREE, TWO, ONE—-Three One-Act Student directed plays, two showcases (One Dance and One Musical), and one Awards presentation! This is our first biennial celebration of arts at Southeastern Regional.  At THREE, TWO, ONE you will see what the best of Southeastern Regional has to offer for Arts, Dance, Acting, and Music!

PUFFS (ONE ACT EDITION) by Matt Cox – Directed by Socks Amster (Junior) and Savannah Morse (Junior) – For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE by Mitch Albom – Directed by Ryan Anderson (Sophomore) – TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

THE AUDITION by Don Zolidis – Directed by Connor O’Brien (Senior) – A new theater teacher is bringing a production of A Chorus Line to the high school. Though the hopefuls range from shy to outrageous, and from diva-like to determined, everyone has a chance to step into the spotlight. A hilarious and heartbreaking look at the madness of auditioning and the actors who brave the process for that perfect part.

Honoring Heritage Months through Musical Theater – The Southeastern Players will present 6 musical theater numbers that honor cultural diversity within the US including Hispanic Heritage, Pride Month, Native American Heritage, and Women’s History.

READY, SET, STEP – The Southeastern Step Team (led by Briana Brown) will present a routine that honors Black History Month. This routine has been conceptualized in conjunction with the READY, S.E.T. STEP team and Ms. Brown!

A panel of judges will present awards on Saturday night’s performance to honor the shows and performers.

PLEASE NOTE – Awards ceremony will happen only on Saturday night’s production.
