Luis graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Technology from Central New England College of Technology, a Master of Education Degree from Bridgewater State College, and completed his doctorate work at Nova Southeastern University where he earned an Education Specialist Degree. He has been involved with vocational education since 1983 and was appointed as Superintendent to Southeastern in 2007.

Leslie graduated from Bishop Stang High School in 1989. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Master of Education Degree from Fitchburg State College. After numerous years in the restaurant industry, she pursued a second career in education. She worked as a substitute teacher at local vocational schools, worked as a paraprofessional at Bristol Plymouth Voc-Tech, and then as a Culinary Arts instructor at Greater New Bedford Regional High School. In addition to her role as Vocational Director, here at Southeastern for the last 11 years, she chaired the Massachusetts Vocational Directors Committee for 4 years. Leslie has served as a facilitator for numerous curriculum revision projects state wide, started new vocational programs at Southeastern, and worked on several Department of Elementary and Secondary Education focus groups to advocate for vocational education. She was appointed as Principal on July 1, 2019.
Ms. Illsley is a graduate of Brockton High School and Massasoit Community College (AS). She holds a BA in Business Management and a Masters of Education from Bridgewater State University. Ms. Illsley began her career at Southeastern Technical Institute in 1993 as a Computer and Math teacher, was appointed to the position of Interim Director of the Technical Institute in February 2017, and Director of the Technical Institute effective July 1, 2018.
Joanne Boucher began her career in special education in 2001 as a Speech and Language Pathologist at New Bedford Public Schools. She also worked in Old Rochester Regional School District. Joanne became a Special Education Administrator in 2014. For the past four years, she held the position of Compliance Supervisor in New Bedford Public Schools and has experience supporting high school students as they transition from high school to postsecondary life. Ms. Boucher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Motor Development Therapy from Bridgewater State College, a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Certificates of Advanced Graduate Studies in Reading and Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University.
Patrick assumed the role as Director of Information Technology on July 1st, 2015. He has an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Mr. Cleary is also licensed as a VocTech Principal/Assistant Principal through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Heidi graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School for “Data Processing”. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in English in 1998, her Master of Arts in English in 2003, and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in 2005, all from Bridgewater State College where she currently serves as an evening part-time faculty member for the School of Education and Health Sciences. Heidi’s PK – 12 administrative experience and passion for teaching and learning has led her to roles such as being appointed by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Education as an at-large member of the state School and District Accountability and Assistance Advisory Council. She has served as the Director of Academics at Southeastern since Fall 2008 and has been a key innovator and a model for technology in the classroom and hybrid & online instruction.
Mr. Foley Graduated from Weymouth North High School before attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
Mr. Foley worked in the heavy and highway construction industries as a project manager, estimator and general superintendent. He also was the sole proprietor of a small residential and commercial construction company prior to becoming and educator.
In the fall of 2007 Mr. Foley started his education career as a carpentry instructor at Blue Hills Regional Technical High School, after 11 years and obtaining a Masters of Education and his Directors/Supervisors license he moved into administration at South Shore Regional Technical High School as a Vocational Coordinator prior to coming to Southeastern Regional Technical High School.
Mr. Foley is a licensed Construction Supervisor, and authorized OSHA Trainer and serves on the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Board of Directors as the Director of Competitions.
Christina is a graduate of West Boylston High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Salem State College and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College. She joined the administrative team at Southeastern in 2008 as the Director of Guidance. Christina has been a member of the Guidance Department and district, since 2001. She entered the field of education in 1998 as part of the Worcester Public School District in the role of Guidance Counselor/School Adjustment Counselor. She continued in a therapeutic role at the Mystic Valley Charter School. Her previous work experience, outside of education, includes individual counseling, psychoeducational group therapy, and teaching life management courses.
Mrs. Kobey is a graduate of Mansfield High School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Education from Fitchburg State University. After many years in the Cosmetology industry, she pursed her teaching license in Cosmetology and worked as a Teacher at Southeastern Regional Vocational High School. She currently continues her career at Southeastern as a Vocational Supervisor.
Karen Maguire is a graduate of South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School in Hanover. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Teacher Education from Johnson and Wales University and a Masters of Education from Fitchburg State College.
Ms. Maguire began her career with Southeastern in 1999 as a teacher in the Culinary Arts Department before taking the role of Vocational Supervisor in 2006 and her current role as Vice Principal in 2011. Prior to Southeastern, Ms. Maguire taught at Plymouth South High School and Minuteman High School.
In addition to her work at Southeastern, Ms. Maguire also works with Massachusetts SkillsUSA as a member of the State Leadership Team.
Ms. Maguire’s primary responsibilities at Southeastern include Behavior Management, Student Activities and ELL Programs.
Holly graduated from Elizabethtown (Ky.) High School in 1988. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to coming to Southeastern in 2013, she served as Associate General Counsel at the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Holly is licensed as a vocational superintendent/assistant superintendent by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Dr. McCormick joins Southeastern after leaving Boston Public Schools as their Executive Director of High School Redesign and College/Career Readiness. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Curry College, a Guardian Ad Litem for the Commonwealth of Mass. and the Director of Guidance at Dedham Public Schools. She also spent time as a Guidance Counselor for Brockton Public Schools. JoAnne received her Bachelors from the College of the Holy Cross, her Masters from Framingham State and her doctorate from UMass Boston.
Mark graduated from Bishop Stang High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and M.B.A in Finance both from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. After 15 years in the financial sector, he joined Southeastern in 2009. Mark is certified as a School Business Administrator and Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. He also serves on the board of Massachusetts Association of Regional Schools. In his capacity as Asst. Supt. of Finance & Administration, he oversees all financial aspects of the school district.
JoAnne O’Brien is a graduate of Brockton High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Bridgewater State College. She taught at Brockton High School and South Junior High School. She then held several management positions in private industry, one with the Gillette Company, but she missed the students and the field of education. At Southeastern Regional, she has been a math teacher, Math Meetings and Materials Facilitator, and Math Chairperson.
Courtney began her career at Southeastern in 2004, teaching English for 16 years. In addition to working as the English department’s facilitator and chair for 11 years, she also served as a supervising practitioner for 14 student teachers from Bridgewater State University and as the school’s Advanced Placement Coordinator for three years. Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern University, her Master of Education in Secondary Education from UMass Boston, and her Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University.
Dan is a 1986 graduate of Taunton High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Plymouth (NH) State College and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Bridgewater State College. Dan came over from teaching mathematics at his alma mater in 2009 and now supervises Athletics, Health & Wellness, and Student Activities at Southeastern. He has been our head football coach since the fall of 2009, and since 1996 has coached both boys and girls sports at all high school levels.
