Luis graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Technology from Central New England College of Technology, a Master of Education Degree from Bridgewater State College, and completed his doctorate work at Nova Southeastern University where he earned an Education Specialist Degree. He has been involved with vocational education since 1983 and was appointed as Superintendent to Southeastern in 2007.

Leslie graduated from Bishop Stang High School in 1989. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Master of Education Degree from Fitchburg State College. After numerous years in the restaurant industry, she pursued a second career in education. She worked as a substitute teacher at local vocational schools, worked as a paraprofessional at Bristol Plymouth Voc-Tech, and then as a Culinary Arts instructor at Greater New Bedford Regional High School. In addition to her role as Vocational Director, here at Southeastern for the last 11 years, she chaired the Massachusetts Vocational Directors Committee for 4 years. Leslie has served as a facilitator for numerous curriculum revision projects state wide, started new vocational programs at Southeastern, and worked on several Department of Elementary and Secondary Education focus groups to advocate for vocational education. She was appointed as Principal as of July 1.
Ms. Illsley is a graduate of Brockton High School and Massasoit Community College (AS). She holds a BA in Business Management and a Masters of Education from Bridgewater State University. Ms. Illsley began her career at Southeastern Technical Institute in 1993 as a Computer and Math teacher and was appointed to the position of Interim Director of the Technical Institute in February 2017.
Mark joined us in 2009 after making a change from a financial career to the education sector. He is certified as a School Business Administrator in Massachusetts and he has an undergraduate degree and M.B.A. in Finance. He has been employed by several financial institutions over the past fifteen years. In his capacity as Business Manager, he oversees all financial aspects of the school district.
Patrick assumed the role as Director of Information Technology on July 1st, 2015. He has an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Mr. Cleary is also licensed as a VocTech Principal/Assistant Principal through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Holly graduated from Elizabethtown (Ky.) High School in 1988. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to coming to Southeastern in 2013, she served as Associate General Counsel at the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Holly is licensed as a vocational superintendent/assistant superintendent by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Christina is a graduate of West Boylston High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Salem State College and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College. She joined the administrative team at Southeastern in 2008 as the Director of Guidance. Christina has been a member of the Guidance Department and district, since 2001. She entered the field of education in 1998 as part of the Worcester Public School District in the role of Guidance Counselor/School Adjustment Counselor. She continued in a therapeutic role at the Mystic Valley Charter School. Her previous work experience, outside of education, includes individual counseling, psychoeducational group therapy, and teaching life management courses.
Karen Maguire is a graduate of South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School in Hanover. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Teacher Education from Johnson and Wales University and a Masters of Education from Fitchburg State College.
Ms. Maguire began her career with Southeastern in 1999 as a teacher in the Culinary Arts Department before taking the role of Vocational Supervisor in 2006 and her current role as Vice Principal in 2011. Prior to Southeastern, Ms. Maguire taught at Plymouth South High School and Minuteman High School.
In addition to her work at Southeastern, Ms. Maguire also works with Massachusetts SkillsUSA as a member of the State Leadership Team.
Ms. Maguire’s primary responsibilities at Southeastern include Behavior Management, Student Activities and ELL Programs.
Heidi graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School for “Data Processing”. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in English in 1998, her Master of Arts in English in 2003, and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in 2005, all from Bridgewater State College. Heidi’s administrative experiences include Superintendent Intern, English Language Arts Curriculum Supervisor 7-12, and an Elementary School Principal K-4.
Jennifer D’Angelo graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She then received her Masters of Business Administration at Suffolk University, and a Masters of Education in Special Education at Bridgewater State University. Ms. D’Angelo’s professional experience began as a Graduate Fellow at Suffolk. She continued through the special education field as a paraprofessional, special education teacher and team chairperson, and began her administrative career in April of 2016 at Southeastern.
Dan is a 1986 graduate of Taunton High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Plymouth (NH) State College and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Bridgewater State College. Dan came over from teaching mathematics at his alma mater in 2009 and now supervises Athletics, Health & Wellness, and Student Activities at Southeastern. He has been our head football coach since the fall of 2009, and since 1996 has coached both boys and girls sports at all high school levels.
After 26 years at Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School, Mr. Joseph Poli recently transitioned from teaching into his new role as the Coordinator for Cooperative Education. Prior to this transition, Mr. Poli was a shop instructor in machine technology and metal fabrication.
After Mr. Poli served with distinction in the U.S. Marine Corps at posts world-wide and honed his vocational skills, he proudly taught throughout his educational career at Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School, where he built relationships with students, businesses, and our sending community. Additionally, he served as the local teachers’ union President and a Vice-President of the American Federation of Teachers Massachusetts executive board.
