Winter Track & Field
Indoor track and field runs from Monday December 2nd until mid February. Students practice both indoors and outdoors, but ALL meets are held indoors at Wheaton College or the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. While the focus is primarily running, we do have a throwing program which consists of strength training, core exercises, and of course throwing the shot put. There are NO tryouts for track and field and all athletes automatically make the team day one. With that being said, this is still a varsity level sport, therefore if you decide to participate in track and field you will be expected to be at all practices, Monday-Friday. Starting week 2, we will have meets once a week during the school week. In addition, our most competitive athletes will have weekend Saturday meets competing against the best athletes in the state. On day one, meet us outside on track for warm-ups no later than 2:45! Don’t forget to dress warm (hats and gloves are recommended for the season).
