The Esports Splatoon Platoon led by: Jordan DosSantos, Miguel Guerrero, Matthew Butcher and Curtis Price defeated Notre Dame High School 3-0.

The Esports OLYMPUS Rocket League squad, led by: Finn Sommer, Pierre Jean-Louis and Tyler Bose defeated Christian Heartland High School 3-0!

Freshmen and Sophomores--the voting process has started to choose the Travel Club trip for 2026. The link to the form is on the Google Classroom page. If you are not a member of the classroom, please reach out to Mrs. Miller at bmiller@sersd.org

There will be a Travel Club meeting on Wednesday, March 13th, for members that are in grades 9 and 10. We will be starting the process of picking the 2026 trip. Anyone interested can attend. We will meet in the cafe from 2:40–3:30 p.m.

SENIORS: Senior prom tickets will go on sale Monday, March 25. They will be on sale through Friday, April 26. No tickets will be sold after that date. Tickets will cost $75 for SET students and $85 for outside guests. The Senior prom will be held at Lakeview Pavilion on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00--10:00 p.m.

Penny Wars are going on now! Each class–freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors–will have their own coin jar located in the main office. Here's how it works: adding pennies and dollar bills to your jar will ADD POINTS to your team, while putting silver coins in other classes’ jars will SUBTRACT POINTS from them. Let's see which class can collect the most points. May the best class win!

In honor of Dental Assistants Recognition Week, we would like to celebrate our Dental teachers and students. Dental assistants are called the heart of the dental office for many reasons. Not only do dental assistants have a hand in almost every aspect of a dental practice, but they continually display a willingness to go the extra mile.

The Esports Valorant Blue squad led by: Phillip Lopes and Nathan Surette defeated Brevard High School 13-6!

The SET STAR SMASHERS Mario Kart squad led by Jordan DosSantos, Melissa O’Donnell, Kai Mendes and Nehamiah Chrispin-Perkins defeated their opponents 2-0.

There will be a SADD meeting on Thursday, 3.7.24, directly after school in Legal & Protective Services.

Spring sports start Monday, March 18th. We offer the following spring sports here at Southeastern: Baseball, Softball, Outdoor Track and Field (Co-Ed), Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse and club boys volleyball. All athletes must register on Family ID and have an up to date physical in order to participate on first day of tryouts/practice. The Apex Legends “Mystic” squad led by: Stanley Andrade, Fil Depina and Devan Hogan defeated Whiteland Community High School 2 games to 0.

Shout out to the Hawks cheerleaders for an amazing season and a great performance yesterday at their Regionals competition where they competed in Division 1. Your coaches are so proud of all of you!

Dental assistants apply their skills and training to make your visit to the dentist productive, safe and as pleasant as possible. March 3–9, 2024, is Dental Assistants Recognition Week, a time to remember the contributions dental assistants make to the dental profession and the dental health care of the public. This year celebrates 100 years of dental assistants supporting Dental health. If you see a dental assisting student in the hallway, thank them for keeping your smile healthy.

Superintendent Holly McClanan and School Committee Member Robin Zoll joined State Senator Walter Timilty, other legislators, and regional school leaders for the South Shore Roundtable Legislative Breakfast in Hingham.

Cesaria Evora was a Cape Verdean singer who was known for singing morna, which is a Cape Verdean genre, in her native language Cape Verdean Creole. Her songs often went over the subjects of love, being homesick, nostalgia, and the history of Cape Verde and its people. Growing up in poverty, Évora began her singing career in local bars at age sixteen and only achieved success in music in her later years. Today, Evora remains a cultural icon for those of Cape Verdean Descent. Thank you for celebrating this year’s Black History Month with us Southeastern, but don’t forget to celebrate it every day!

The Student Council Club is hosting a March Madness Basketball Tournament from March 11--15th. All students and staff are welcome to sign up to play via the Google Form sent through your school email. It is $5 to play and you can sign up with your friends in a team of 5 or as a free agent. Please sign up by March 7th!
