Southeastern Regional gymnasium were students are presenting projects to judges

On February 6, 2024, Southeastern hosted a joint independent Scientific Research Fair with Bristol-Plymouth Regional Vocational High School. Students presented their research and conclusions to a panel of two judges. Student projects were required to follow the Scientific Method or the Engineering Design Process and were supported by Science instructors. The Southeastern winners from the local fair were Fany Benitez, Skyla Sturtevant and Olivia Charlesworth. These students were invited, along with Rachel Spring, to participate in the Region V Science and Engineering Fair held at Bridgewater State University on Saturday March 2, 2024. While at BSU, students had the opportunity to tour the Math and Science Building, including the new Cyber Range, and were judged by an outside panel of experts. Fany Benitez and Skyla Sturtevant received an Honorable Mention for their project, "What's the Buzz on Bee Pan Trap Preference?" at the fair held at BSU. Congratulations to all students involved, and preparation for next year's Science Fair process will begin this spring.
