Southeastern Students with mom who is awarded a car and partners of second chance cars

Our students are proving that vocational education can make a difference far beyond the classroom.

Through our partnership with Second Chance Cars, students in the Automotive and Collision Repair programs put their skills to work refurbishing an Acura MDX for Esclanette Germain, a single mother working to build a better future for herself and her son.

After spending approximately 13 hours each week traveling by bus and train, Esclanette now has reliable transportation that will give her more time, flexibility, and opportunities to work toward her goals.

From replacing tires and completing inspections to welding repairs, our students played an important role in preparing the vehicle for its new owner. Their technical skills helped turn a vehicle into something much more meaningful: an opportunity for a family to move forward.

We are incredibly proud of our students, instructors, and community partners for showing what happens when technical education and a commitment to helping others come together.

This is what it means to be a Hawk! 🦅
